For the following decade, he worked with Dhaka theatre, appearing in over 20 plays such as “Deewana Kazi”, “Chaka”, “Kittonkhola”, “Nimojon”, and “Jibon o Rajnoitik Bastobota”. He also worked with various theatre organizations, including Nagorik Natya Sampradaya, Prachyanat, and Aranyaka. He received several prizes and distinctions for his theatrical work, including the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Award, the Bangladesh Group Theatre Federation Award, and the Mehboob Jamal Zahedi Award. In addition, he received the renowned Ekushey Padak, Bangladesh’s highest civilian honour, in 2022 for his achievements to theatre.

His lifeless remains were transported to his home in Ghazipur, where his family, relatives, and close colleagues paid their final respects. After Namaz-e-Janaza at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, he was buried in Dhaka’s Banani Cemetery.
