The next year, she teamed with Nike to compose a homage to Black athletes. She has a deal with Viking Children’s Books to create two picture books for kids. In September 2017, she was invited to read her piece In This Place: An American Lyric at the Library of Congress on the occasion of Tracey K Smith’s inauguration as Poet Laurette of the United States.
Amanda was the first person to be named The National Youth Poet Laurette in April 2017. Glamour Magazine named her one of the College Women of the Year in 2018.
