Cairo Ojougboh Early Life and Education

Cairo Ojougboh had his early education in Nigeria and later proceeded to the United States of America for his higher education. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Akron, Ohio in 1983. He then went on to obtain a Master’s degree in Engineering from the same institution in 1985.

After completing his studies, Cairo Ojougboh worked in the United States for several years before returning to Nigeria to pursue a career in politics.

Ojougboh’s political career began in the early 2000s when he became involved in local politics in his home state of Delta. He quickly rose through the ranks, serving as a member of the Delta State House of Assembly, as well as the Delta State Commissioner for Environment.

In 2007, Cairo was appointed as the Executive Director of Projects for the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), a federal agency charged with developing the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. During his tenure, he oversaw several projects that brought significant improvements to the region, including the construction of roads, bridges, and other infrastructure.
