Don Jazzy was born on November 26, 1982, in Unmuahia, Abia State, to Mr. and Mrs. Collins Enebeli Ajereh. His father was an Isoko member from Delta State, while his mother was an Igbo princess from Abia State. Don Jazzy was reared in Ajegunle, Lagos State, alongside his brother Charles Enebeli (nicknamed D’Prince) when his parents relocated westward in the late 1980s.

Jazzy had his basic and secondary schooling at Ajegunle, Lagos State, before enrolling at Federal Government College, Lagos. During his time in school, he participated in the school’s music club, making the most of his free time. Career

Don Jazzy founded Mo’ Hits Records in 2004 with music artist D’Banj. They collaborated to build a music brand that lasted nearly a decade. He released two albums on the label, No Long Thing and Rundown/Funk You Up. He became famous for his catchphrase, It’s Don Jazzy Again!, which he used to introduce songs in which he appeared. Don Jazzy collaborated with Wande Coal, D’Prince, and Dr SID on milestone albums such as Wande Coal’s Mushin 2 MoHits.  He went on to participate in backing vocals for D’Banj, Sauce Kid, Dr SID, Ikechukwu, Kween, D’Prince, and Jay-Z, garnering international prominence after working as a producer at Very Good Beatz for Kanye West in 2011.

He also collaborated with Jay-Z around that time. Don Jazzy and D’Banj split up in March 2012 owing to creative disputes. Don Jazzy founded another musical company, Mavin Records, on May 7, 2012, and released an album featuring all contracted artists. Amarachi, Oma Ga, Take Banana and Chocolate, YOLO, and I’m an MAVIN anthem are among the songs included on the CD. Tiwa, a great musician, was also signed to the label. Wande Coal severed relations with Mavin Records on November 7, 2013, following a two-day argument with Ajereh, a member of the group. Reekado Banks quit the music group a few years later. Mavin Records just signed Ayra Starr, a young and promising female music artist.
