Her father approached the Himachal Pradesh government two years later, in 2015, to request that she train at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) on the synthetic tracks in Dharamshala. They both agreed.  She has been a frequent participant in that workout regimen since then. She has been working with a professional coach as well as her mother’s assistance.

When she returned, she took silver in the 1500m at the university level. She won multiple national medals in all of the divisions in which she participated in 2018. She quickly became a known face to everyone. Her desire for achievement grew stronger. She won gold medals in the 1500m division at the Federation Cup National Senior Athletics Championships the same year. She finished fourth in the 59th National Open Athletics Championships held in Ranchi (Jharkhand) on October 10, 2019, with a time of 4:22.04. Harmilan won the 800m race event with a time of 2:03.82 in August 2021, while Javelin Thrower Neeraj Chopra was making news after winning the gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
