In the year 2018, she made her acting debut with the movie Dhadak. She was nominated for a Filmfare award for best actress for her role as GunjanSaxena in the biopic GunjanSaxena: TheKargil girl (2020).
She completed her schooling at Dhirubhai Ambani international school in Mumbai. Janhvi took the acting classes at Lee Strasberg theatre and film institute in California.
