Obazee was the Chairman of Nigeria’s National Committee on the Roadmap to Adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards. Previously, he served as Technical Director of the Nigerian Accounting Standards Board (NASB) and then as its Chief Executive Officer. He formerly served on the Financial Accounting Standards Board in the United States and the Accounting Standards Board in Canada. In 1993, he joined the NASB.
