In an interview with Aaj Tak, Manoj attempted to reject Nepalese claims by mistakenly asserting that Nepal was a part of “Bharat” till 1904 and that it separated from “Bharat.” Manoj has been accused of falsifying historical truths, prompting calls in Nepal for a ban on all Hindi films.
