Mercy Masika hails from an extremely musical family. She began singing as a toddler and later appeared on KBC’s show ‘Joy Bringers’. This was because to her mother, Mercy Masika, who at the time worked for another KBC show, ‘Yours, Rise and Shine’. Mercy Masika and her sisters had the opportunity to perform at Joy Bringers. Masika solicited the assistance of her mother and Helen Matawali to make her debut record, titled ‘Nobody Like Jesus’, in 1995, while still in primary school.
