Seethakka was elected for the first time to the Mulugu Legislative Assembly in 2009, beating Congress Party rival Podem Veeraiah on behalf of the Telugu Desam Party.
After forming the Telangana state, she was defeated in the 2014 assembly elections by Telangana Rashtra Samithi candidate Ajamilal Chandulal. In 2018, she was re-elected Mulugu Constituency MLA, beating Telangana Rashtra Samithi challenger Ajamilal Chandulal.
