Krishna was born in Bangalore, Karnataka, India on February 19, 1996. Murli Krishna, his father, was a cricketer who made a name for himself locally. Kalawati Krishna, his mother, is a former volleyball player. Prakurthi Krishna is his younger sister. Prasidh was not initially interested in cricket; instead, he enjoyed volleyball and sports. However, at the age of 12, he attended the Basavanagudi Cricket Academy in Bengaluru and began to notice his abilities. Following that, he joined his school’s cricket team, where he honed his bowling talents under the tutelage of veteran first-class player Prahladrao Srinivasa Murthy. While attending Carmel School, he played for the under-14 squad in 2010, and three years later, in 2013, he began playing for the Karnataka under-19 team.

Career
On the Bangladesh A tour of India in 2015, he made his first-class debut for Bangalore against Bangladesh A. He claimed five wickets in the first innings and one in the second. Later that year, in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Prasidh Krishna made his List-A debut with Pavan Deshpande and Krishnappa Gowtham against Jharkhand. In the game, he took two wickets for 41 runs. The next year, he tried out for and was accepted into the MRF Pace Foundation. Then, in January 2018, he made his debut for Bangalore in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy against Punjab. Despite taking the wicket of opening batter Manan Vohra, he allowed 44 runs in four overs.
Later, in 2019, he traveled to Australia as part of the Foundation’s exchange program (MRF Pace), where he honed his bowling talents under former Australian fast bowler Jeff Thompson. Krishna made his international debut on March 23, 2021, against England in an ODI. On his debut, he took four wickets with an economy of 6.61. Jason Roy was his first international wicket. In his maiden match, he also took the wickets of Ben Stokes, Sam Billings, and Tom Curran.
