Kalawati Krishna, his mother, is a former volleyball player. Prakurthi Krishna is his younger sister. Prasidh was not initially interested in cricket; instead, he enjoyed volleyball and sports. However, at the age of 12, he attended the Basavanagudi Cricket Academy in Bengaluru and began to notice his abilities. Later that year, in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Prasidh Krishna made his List-A debut with Pavan Deshpande and Krishnappa Gowtham against Jharkhand. In the game, he took two wickets for 41 runs. The next year, he tried out for and was accepted into the MRF Pace Foundation. Then, in January 2018, he made his debut for Bangalore in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy against Punjab.
