Ramesh Bidhuri was born in South Delhi, India on July 18, 1961. His astrological sign is Cancer. Career
He began his political career with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He ran for the Tughlakabad Assembly seat in 1993 but came in second place behind winning candidate Shish Pal (Independent) and runner-up Shyama Sinha (INC). In 1996, he was the Mehrauli district’s District General Secretary. He was also the Pardesh Secretary of Mahasangh’s Dharm Yatra. Bidhuri served as Mehrauli District President of the BJP from 1997 to 2003. He ran for the Tughlakabad Assembly seat again in 1998 but lost to INC contender Shish Pal Singh. From 1998 to 1999, he was an officer on Special Duty to the Chairperson of the Committee on Subordinate Legislation. He was elected as an MLA in 2003.
From 2003 until 2008, he served as the Vice President of the BJP in Delhi Pradesh. He was elected MLA from Tughlakabad in 2008, beating BSP rival Sahi Ram by 8,234 votes. In the same year, he was appointed General Secretary of the BJP in Delhi Pradesh. He was elected MLA from Tughlakabad in 2013, beating BSP contender Sahi Ram by 5,946 votes. He was elected as the Member of Parliament for South Delhi in 2014, beating AAP contender Col. Devinder Sehrawat by 1,07,000 votes. Bidhuri served on the Standing Committee on Welfare of Other Backward Classes, the Consultative Committee on the Ministry of Labour and Employment, and the National Social Security Board from September 12, 2014, to May 25, 2019.
On July 31, 2019, he was appointed to the Committee on the Welfare of Other Backward Classes. On September 13, 2019, he was appointed Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
