RVUNL Scheme of Examination for Junior Engineer (Electrical), Junior Engineer (Civil), Junior Engineer (Control & Instrumentation/ Communication), Junior Engineer (Fire & Safety), Junior Chemist.

The on-line examination will comprise the following objective type multiple choice tests as stated below :

Part A (60 Minutes)

  • Professional Knowledge – 60 Questions, 120 Marks.

Part B (60 Minutes)

  • Reasoning & Mental Ability – 20 Questions, 20 Marks.
  • General Knowledge & Everyday Science – 20 Questions, 20 Marks.
  • Hindi General – 14 Questions, 14 Marks.
  • English General – 14 Questions, 14 Marks.
  • Mathematics – 12 Questions, 12 Marks.

Total 140 Questions & 200 Marks

Part B of the test paper will be “OMNIBUS”, without creating any section/sub-section in the test paper.

Both Part A & Part B are separately timed. You can attempt any question in allotted 60 minutes for the respective part. You will not be able to attempt any question from Part B while attempting Part A and vice versa.

The total time for the test is 120 minutes; however you may have to be at the venue for approximately  240 minutes including the time required for attendance marking, submission of Admit Card with photocopy of the photo ID proof, logging in etc. All tests except test of Hindi General will be in English only. All the questions will have multiple choices. Out of the five answers to a question only one will be the correct answer. You have to select the most appropriate answer and ‘mouse click’ that alternative which you feel is appropriate/correct. The alternative/ option that you have clicked on will be highlighted and will be treated as your answer to that question. There will be penalty for wrong answers marked by you. For every wrong answer marked by you, 1/4 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.

Educational Qualification for RRVUNL Junior Engineer & Junior Chemist, Informatics Assistant Online Form 2018:
  • Junior Engineer-I

Electrical: The candidate must hold four years’ Full Time Graduation Degree in Engineering as a regular student or AMIE in Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics/ Electrical, Instrumentation & Control/ Power Systems & High Voltage/Power Electronics/ Power Engineering or equivalent from a University/Institution established by Law in India and recognized equivalent to full time Graduation Degree in Engineering by AICTE, New Delhi.

Civil: The candidate must hold four years’ Full Time Graduation Degree in Engineering as a regular student or AMIE in Structural/Civil Construction/Civil Engineering or equivalent from a University/Institution established by Law in India and recognized equivalent to full time Graduation Degree in Engineering by AICTE, New Delhi.

Control & Instrumentation/ Communication: The candidate must hold four years’ Full Time Graduation Degree in Engineering as a regular student or AMIE in Electronics/ Electronics & Tele-Communication/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Power/ Power Electronics/ Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Instrumentation & Controls or equivalent from a University/Institution established by Law in India and recognized equivalent to full time Graduation Degree in Engineering by AICTE, New Delhi.

Fire & Safety: The candidate must hold four years’ Full Time Graduation Degree in Engineering as a regular student or AMIE; or equivalent from a University/Institution established by Law in India and recognized equivalent to full time Graduation Degree in Engineering by AICTE, New Delhi., in (1) Fire Fighting/ Industrial Safety Engineering. (2) Mechanical/Electrical/Production Engineering with full time Diploma in Industrial Safety from a University/Institution.

  • Junior Chemist

Candidate must hold two years’ full time Post Graduation Degree in Chemistry or four years’ full time Graduation Degree in Chemical Engineering as a regular student from an University established by law in India or a degree of a foreign University or Institution declared by competent authority, equivalent to full time regular Post Graduate Degree in Chemistry or Graduation Degree in Chemical Engineering of an University established by law in India.

  • Informatics Assistant

Graduate or higher full time degree in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering/ Computer Applications/ Computer Science & Engineering or Electronics or Electronics & Communication or Information Technology or equivalent of University established by law in India.

OR

Full time Post Polytechnic Diploma in Computer Applications or 3 years’ Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering/ Computer Applications/ Information Technology or equivalent from a Polytechnic Institution recognized by the Government.

OR

Graduate of a University established by law in India with Diploma in Computer Science/ Computer Applications/ Information Technology or equivalent of a University established by law in India or of an institution recognized by the Government.

OR

Graduate of University established by law in India with “O” or Higher Level Certificate course conducted by “National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIEIT)/ DOEACC” under the control of Department of Electronics, Government of India.

OR

Graduate of University established by law in India with Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA)/ Data Preparation and Computer Software (DPCS) Certificate organized under the National/ State Counsel of Vocational Training Scheme.

And

Speed of 20 Words per minute typing in Hindi and English both.

A person who has appeared or is appearing in the final year/ semester/ examination of the aforesaid requisite educational qualification, shall also be eligible to apply for the post, but he/she shall have to submit proof of having acquired the requisite qualification at the time fixed for documents verification after written competitive exam. The date of declaration of result/issuance of Marks-sheet of educational qualification shall be deemed to be the date of acquiring the qualification.

Age limits for RRVUNL Junior Engineer, Junior Chemist & Informatics Assistant Online Form 2018:

Junior Engineer-I and Junior Chemist

The candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must have not attained the age of 41 years on the first day of January next following the last date fixed for online submission of Application i.e. on the 1.1.2019.

Informatics Assistant

The candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must have not attained the age of 40 years on the first day of January next following the last date fixed for online submission of Application i.e. on the 1.1.2019.

Upper age relaxation given extra as per Govt. rules.

Fee (Online):

  • UR (Gen) if annual income of family is Rs.2.50 lakh or more: Rs.850/-
  • UR (Gen) if annual income of family is less than Rs.2.50 lakh/SC/ST/BC/MBC/PWD(PH): Rs.550/-

Bank Transaction charges for Online Payment of application fees/intimation charges will have to be borne by the candidate.
