She won a silver medal in the Commonwealth Games in August 2014. Sakshi earned a bronze medal in the Senior Asian Wrestling Championships in Doha in 2015. She qualified for the Rio Olympics after defeating her Chinese opponent Zhang Lan in the Olympic World Qualifying Tournament in May 2016.
