Zyahna Bryant Wiki, Biography, Age, Career, Net Worth:- Zyahna Bryant is a student activist and community organizer studying at the University of Virginia and focused on racial justice problems in Charlottesville, Virginia. She has a long history of activism, having created her high school’s Black Student Union and been an active member of the Charlottesville Youth Council. Zyahna organized her first protest when she was 12, calling for Justice for Trayvon Martin and other unarmed black lives lost to police violence. There are two types of activists: those who work to improve the lives of others and others who abuse events for personal gain.
Unfortunately, Zyahna Bryant falls into the latter type. Bryant, who identifies as a BLM activist, promotes her activities on a one-of-a-kind website. In 2020, however, she gained headlines by falsely accusing Morgan Bettinger of making insulting remarks towards BLM demonstrators, alleging Bettinger referred to them as “Speed Bumps.” As a result, the student-led judicial committee forced Bettinger to apologize to Bryant and do social justice-related community service to graduate. Zyahna later admitted the potential of mishearing, but the damage had already been done to the innocent Morgan Bettinger. She has recently been in the spotlight again as a result of her cooperation with the cosmetics brand Dove.

Activism
Bryant’s interest in action and campaigning began as a student in high school. She petitioned the Charlottesville City Council in 2016 to remove the statue of Robert E. Lee from Emancipation Park (previously Lee Park) and rename it. She contended that the statue was a symbol of bigotry and oppression that did not reflect the city’s ideals. She also recommended renaming the park after Harriet Tubman or another local black icon. Her petition received over 600 signatures and ignited a neighborhood debate. The City Council voted in February 2017 to remove the monument and rename the park. Several lawsuits and injunctions filed by pro-Confederate factions, however, disputed the judgment.
To protest the statue’s removal, a group of white supremacists and neo-Nazis organized an event dubbed “Unite the Right” in August 2017. When they battled with counter-protesters, the demonstration turned violent, resulting in one fatality and scores more injuries. Zyahna Bryant was not there during the event, but she observed the fallout from the violence and trauma that afflicted her hometown. She condemned hate organizations and advocated for unity and justice. She continued campaigning for racial fairness and social change through numerous venues and activities. “Zyahna’s Vision” is a youth-led organization that aspires to encourage young people of color to become leaders and changemakers in their communities.
